Ballet Technique

Our Ballet Technique classes build strength by learning a set barre routine. Practicing a set barre allows the students to focus on strength and connectivity – new combinations are added throughout the semester as students progress. The strength and technique developed at the barre provides a foundation for all of our center work and choreography.

We start preparing students for pointe work in Ballet 3. Students will be evaluated and approved to start pointe work when they demonstrate the correct technique and strength required for pointe.

Students stay in each level for at least 2-3 years before advancing into the next class.

Beginning Ballet

In our beginning ballet classes (Pre-Ballet – Ballet 1) we lay the foundation for the technique taught in our higher level ballet classes. We emphasize strength, coordination, and posture through movement based combinations.

Your students will gain an appreciation for the art and etiquette of ballet, find new friendships, and develop a love of dance.
